Boot not releasing on footwell switch

Hi,
My boot is not releasing on the foot well switch - I think I remember someone having the issue before with a clifford alarm. I have a clifford and I think it might be wired to open the boot - this doesn't work either, and I seem to recall the polarity is opposite which stops the foot well switch working.

Anyone else remember it? I checked the switch today and that seems to be Ok, will dive in with the meter when I get a moment.

Hi Tony
Since that thread I've sold the car, but and I'm not sure why, if I'd just opened the car with the fob the release worked.
