Bonnet Insulation

This stuff is starting to really annoy me. It's always falling on my head when I'm working under the bonnet.

Been looking at what would be best to remove the adhesive that originally held on the insulation. Clarks says 3M woodgrain and trim remover but can't seem to find any.

Does anyone know of a good adhesive remover that wont require too much hard work or damage the paintwork?

Hiu James, Try spraying the adhesive with WD40 and after a short while, the glue should have softend and just scrape off. Bert Gear gave me this tip some years ago for removing the residue from the stone guards and I have used WD40 for many jobs since then although I must admit that my S2 didn't have the under bomnnet insulation. White spirit also works remarkably well on adhesives.
