Bonnet /Boot Release Switch 981

My bonnet release has stopped working the boot side works ok, both work off the key ok ..a new part is 991-613-105-01-A05 available from OPC for £79. does any one have a link to how to remove old one ,Centre are asking £100 to fit as its only a plug and play part seem ott for what seems a easy fit .

On the 987 there’s a fixing screw on the inner face of the sill trim which needs to be removed to release the switch but looking at the PET I can’t see this on the 981’s switch and there doesn’t appear to be a tapped hole on pics of an OEM part I found online. Have a look first but most probably it just needs to be prised out with care?

Looks like it'll slide vertically upwards Brian. No tools needed. Use a plastic tool and not a screwdriver to ease it upwards.

Jeff .it is different to the 987 as there are no screws to undo .

Richard .not sure it slides up ,if you look at the diagram it has two slots on either side which would indicate you lift it up ,i thought if I lifted both ends at the same time pulling up both switches at the same time it would move but don't want to break the two pull handles ,having said that it still opens ok with the key fob ,just thought maybe some one has done YT of it .

After various suggestions on how to remove switch ...it turns out you do not pries out the switch/ unit you remove the sill cover with the switch in place like you do on the 987 but there are no screws to remove just unclip it but do not want to force it so will get a specialist to remove don't want to damage sill cover and rubbers and once removed it unclips from underneath as there a 4 fixings it slots into ,so using CC and pry tools wont work . not urgent as key fob works fine for now.
