Hi guys, I have just replaced the cam belt and balance belt on my 944S2, all went well until i started the car and the dum ass apprentice decided that he would come over and have a look with a 24 inch screw driver in his hand, lent on the front of the car, leaned over and stuffed the screw driver in the way of the balance belt...[

]Can you believe it GRRRHHHHHH...[
]Any how at this moment the balance belt snapped, smashed a big hole in the plastic cover at which point i ran and stopped the car, I was stunned...Well i stripped it all down back to as if i had just finished fitting the belts, i then fitted the old balance belt...The trouble i seem to be having is when i rev the car to about 2 thousand revs it seems to get a vibration through the engine and entire car... the car did run for about 20 seconds or so with the broken belt... Can this damage the engine in anyway, or could i have lost the timing of the balance shafts even though i have refitted the belt with the timing marks in the marked place... ![.
