I have found something new to witter on about. Last night we had fog followed by -6.5 degrees of frost. Everything was clear blue and frosty this morning and I thought to myself, Boy am I lucky to live in the Heart Of England, this is really picture postcard.
Then I opened the door of the snapper.
Guess what?
The windows were frozen into their guides and when I opened the door to get in to start up, the little window drop process had a "Zis ist Impossible" moment and the door went into a panic and continued trying to raise and lower the 5mm irrespective of whether the door was open or closed. Only solved by opening the window on the door switch.
But what if the car had been really wet before it froze so that the glass was truly stuck? Window motor burned out? Linkage b*ggered?
Can I hear the OPC speak, "you should have kept it indoors sir, in the warm and dry"?
