I brought my car with me from Italy a few months ago and reading about the horror stories of the UK 944's got me thinking. Mine was never rust proofed since in Italy it's not an issue , it does have some minor rust spots but i never checked the sils until today . Fortunatelly the sils are in great shape and i would like to keep them that way . My question to you is how can i clean the inside from the grit and dust and what is the best rust treatment i should use ?
Here are a few pics of the sils

Bilt hamber stuff is generally recommended. Very easy to apply if you get the aerosol with injection lance.
Most people would swap their sills for yours! I would!

Thanks guys ,i'm glad they are ok and i want to keep them that way.
I read about bilthamber and waxoyl in a few posts here but didn't know which one was better .
Before i aply any rust proofing i want to clean them ,it wont do any good if i spray it over all that muck. Any idea how to clean the inside ?

Them sills are the best Iv seen!
There a rubber bung in the rear wheel arch leading in 2 it from the rear wheel.

You could try air pressure but that MIT just blow it down the other end.
Or you could try a messyer method. Flush the stuff out. Maybe using some old oil or diesal and then some air pressure 2 lift it. Then steam clean. But 2 honest they look so clean I don't think there's much built up off anything in there. U can clearly see the drain holes and the lowest sill eage. Waxoil will just put a water tight barrier over the lot, metal or dust.
