Hi all, my first post, having owned my 07 plate Cayman for almost 5 months. Unfortunitaley it's not a post saying how wonderful the car is (although I do like it, a lot [ ] ).
] ).

Thursday morning when trying to start the car, the battery was flat. Eventually got it started with the use of jump leads and drove it back in the garage where it was then put on trickle charge. Checked it this morning but only measurd 10V across the battery, swaped the trickle charge for the quick charger and after a couple of hours measured 12V and managed to start the car.

Took the car for a run out for an hour to give it a decent charge, called in to the petrol station to fill up, and you guessed it, it wouldn't start again. Managed to get a jump start off a very helpfull young lady in a mini who was more than happy to help. Got the car back home left it in the garage for 30mins and have just checkded the battery again, 10V... Looks like one of the cells in the battery has gone short circuit.

I'll be on the phone to my dealer on Monday as the car came with 12 month warranty, but does anybody know if the battery is actually covered, it isn't mentioned in the booklet I have??

Thanks,

Mike
