I think that my Cayman 987.2 battery has failed. Today, after being parked in my garage for a week, it had only just enough charge to start the car. I then drove 12 miles and parked the car (locked) for 90 mins, I then started it again and drove with the lights on for another 12 miles and parked (un-locked, lights off) for 30 minutes, on trying to start again the battery had insufficient power to turn the engine over, I was able to get assistance to bump start the car.
There were/are no warning lights showing so I assume that the alternator is charging Ok. According to my handbook it should be quite straightforward to remove and replace the battery - can anyone confirm this from first hand experience? Also can anyone who has replaced their battery tell me what make/model and amp/hours they went for?
Thanks.
