Battery help please

Evening folks
Got a flat battery, its a halfords calcium battery. Bought a halfords fully automatic battery charger tonight and it says it can only be used on lead acid types. What are my options? Are there specific battery chargers for calcium batteries?

I wonder whether the chargers information sheet hasnt kept up with technology? I guessing that 'lead acid only' means not nickel cadmium or similar, rather than what youre considering.
 
having never heard of a Calcium battery I googled it and checked the halfords site there are many people asking the same question...answer seems to be OK as long as the charger is 14.6v charging at a lower volatage can cause plate damage and a min of 24hrs charging[:D][:D]...

i've searched the Q & A's on halfords and someone asked specifically if it can be used on a calcium battery and the halfords team said yes ! and they're bound to know what they're talking about ! so i'll have a bash tomorrow.
