Back in the fold

Thanks, first one since I sold my Cayenne 4.2v8 in 2018, prior to that for many years I had a well known 968 and an 80's 911.

Great looking Cayman and I saw that if it's the one from PC Newport. I was tempted but for the GPF as it was registered Dec 2018

Enjoy your drive home tomorrow

Great spec, great colour as you don't see many. Hope you have many great drives and smiles

Enjoy!

Great choice of Porsche, and welcome back to Porsche ownership! Enjoy your new car and keep us posted here about your journey.

Interesting and unusual colour … no problem finding it in a car park amongst a sea of [boring] black and grey cars!😀

Jeff

It is little on the bright side! My MK3 DAZA TTRS drove away Friday, had been a good car, but time to move on.

Having had cars stolen before (RS6 & Mini Clubman) I usually fit a tracker and an additional immobiliser. Will have a search if anything is suggested for the 718, it's in a locked garage and I will use Faraday cases when home. Disklok seems popular.

Well back from Wales to North Kent in one piece, despite the M25's best efforts (including a car rolling onto it's roof 100 yards in front off me!!)

Great drive and really pleased with the car, everything I wanted. Will no doubt have some questions, such as why does only some radio stations (very few) have the graphic logo, whilst I rarely use the inbuilt sat nav's was surprised this one's never been updated, suspect it's like the Audi's/VW's where there is a way around it.

Pleased you got back home safely and enjoyed the drive. Can't help on the sat nav update but I'm sure someone will be along with a solution

For the SatNav, you have to trigger a manual update within the PCM and this requires a subscription to Porsche Navigation & Infotainment Services.

Thanks, I have that free for the first year I believe so will take a look. Just waiting the Porsche App to be verified.

No problem. It's a fairly simple process but if it hasn't been done for a few years it may take some time. I usually check it a couple of times a year and it takes 15-20 minutes on average.

First few upgrades:

Phone charger that goes over the ashtray.

Also added a wireless Apple CarPlay dongle carlinkit mini ultra three, would definitely recommend if you don’t want to keep plugging in.

Will hardwire the CTEK tonight, positive to battery and ground to the right hand strut tower (there is a spare bolt hole).

Have now got access to the Porsche App, handy to see where your car is! lol, tyres, fuel etc.

Under PCM apps it's just Amazon Music (which I don't really use) and my destinations, is there supposed to be something else or is that it?

Gives you the spec of the car from factory which is also handy, but otherwise I can't see me using the app all that much.

I just use it to locate the car. Handy to know if I’ve locked it or not but you can’t remote lock it unless you’ve got entry and drive. You can also flash your headlights and sound the horn.

You’ll also find the user manual on there as well.

Dan.

Yes I can see the lock (and I do have entry and drive).
