As some will know, I've been a little concerned since taking delivery of our car about a low frequency noise - a rumble, a bit like a faulty wheel bearing - that seems to emanate from the rear axle when cold. It disappears after a few miles running.
I asked our PC to take a look and it seems it might actually be related to a faulty crank breather design, with the sound running back through the transmission tunnel. The Centre had 3 Macans on site at the time and all appeared to be suffering from a similar problem to a greater or lesser extent.
Anyway, the upshot is the car is perfectly fine to drive, but the Centre has raised a technical query with Porsche and will be investigating further in order to find a solution.
I'll keep you posted.
Regards,
Clive.
