Well this weekends racing at Knockhill, or not, was again frustrating.
Qualifying - got 4 laps completed, first lap 1.04 then car started misfiring etc etc......but gained 16th out of 30 on grid
We checked and cleaned everything, upped the fuel pressure etc etc
Race 1 - Again great start up to 11th by Duffis, 10th by hairpin only to retire on 3rd lap with again suspected fuel starvation....well p.....ed Off.
After race dismantled and removed fuel cell, mounting plate, all popped riveted, to get to fuel pump only to find that my spare didn't fit.
Decided to use an old redtop that I had a home next day so re routed fuel lines to fit pump, chucked regulator away, fitted new coil and car was ready, untested, by 14.50 for the 15.20 race!!!

Well it was Brilliant, unbelievable and very very emotional......started last and finished 10th.....yeehaaa!!!

Car was good but need to get Carbs reset, after new pump, fuel lines, regulator tidied up. Going to forgo next race at Cadwell.
I can use the funds to invest in car, and take the engine and box out, get my new LSD fitted with gearbox refresh, fit above and get it all back in before tune up so ready for Speedfare at KH

Cant believe the feeling of finishing first race......I am still on a high...3 vid clips below, first 2 show the start and progress for first 2 mins etc but last vid shows me taking 10th and holding on till the end after approx 4 mins from start.

Brilliant......and first signature of 10 to get my l plates off.

Was over at my usual spot at the top of the chicaine...pity I didn't know Raymond was out as I was snapping away with my new camera.....its a good spot to get some reasonable pics, I particularly like seeing the cars hopping the kerb at the crest:
