Are prices going up?

Very steady indeed. I don't have a 964 so I don't have any vested interested but what I have noticed is less of the really cheap cars but loads of targa's and convertibles at the bottom end. C2 still commanding good prices, some I have seen advertised look overpriced to me for a car with say 120K to 150K miles that is 15+ years old. Don't tell the 993 boys though but I am convinced the gap between 964 and 993 is narrowing fast, the drop in the 993 targa over the past year or so is especially sobering but great for me as I would love to have one to replace my 968 tip some day.

He explains that in the description:

"In addition, it has a ruf g pipe which gives it the right sound, and i have swapped the bulky airbag steering wheel (put in storage, will come with the car) for a tequipment RS version from porsche (easily reversed to original if required). The last picture is a similar steering wheel, picture taken in my previous 964rs."

However that also means the interior pics are not recent if the air bag wheel is not on at the moment [&:]

Having spent the last couple months looking for a good condition C2 with modest mileage i didnt
see much evidence of the credit crunch affecting the top end of the market. I ended up spending
£16k privately for a car that i will still want to spend a few £k on !

Humm, Think the gap between the 996 and the 993 has narrowed quicker, to the point that a same spec/condition 996 seems to be cheaper than a 993.

Hadn't realised that he had pointed that out in his description Steve. [;)] To busy inspecting the pics!
