The Hadley Bowling Green Inn on the Last Tuesday of the Month.

Situated on Hadley Heath, near Ombersley. Post Code is WR9 0AR. This is a well- known country establishment, with a large, good car park and within easy reach and is usually well attended.

The Royal Oak, Much Marcle.

By mutual agreement, owing to so few people attending this meeting, we have decided to close it down. Many original members, now go to the Bowling Green and others, may attend there, when ever possible. This was a very popular area, but owners seem to have migrated eastwards in later times. Sorry, if you went on the 19th May, I was in the Isle of Man.

Karting.

A boisterous meeting was held at Stourbridge, along with the Aston Martin Owners Club and a Badminton Club.. We fielded 16 drivers out of a total of 32 and I am pleased to say that our Barrie Grist came third and his son Mike was first in the finals. Well done each. Here is a podium picture. The track was very slippery this time. Even the local experts said they were not able to reach the normal track record times. Thus many of us ended up facing the wrong way.

Show Night

Club night on the 24th June. There has never to my knowledge been a great enthusiasm for Concours in this Region, although we have always enjoyed a good Show Night. Perhaps we are more practical people. Nevertheless, it will give you good practise for polishing if you want to enter elsewhere.

As a less serious venture, we shall vote air cooled against water cooled as last year, with prizes of course. Local Independents, Hollingworth of Ombersley will again be bringing some exotics, to join us, Ferrari; Aston Martin; Maserati or the like. They have kindly offered to host our September Meeting at their new premises near Kidderminster. The actual address will be announced later as the premises are still being built.

For those needing a local servicing department, Hollingworth's are at present in Hartlebury and specialists in Ferrari, Aston Martin etc., with now several Porsche owning Clients and I understand. they work closely with OPC at Solihull. Come and meet them at The Bowling Green Inn in June.

You will of course, be welcome to join Region 9 for their Concours in June, see R9 Report for details.

Cotswold Rally.

Several R13 Members attended this great event, along with super weather, in spite of the forecast. No doubt there will be a full report elsewhere.

Forthcoming Events.

Gliding in June
