Anyone Swindon way with an oval dash car?

My fans are stuck on, so it's either the relay or the fan switch. I wondered if anyone local to me would mind spending 10 mins to allow me to "borrow" their relay to see where the issue lies. Rather easier than getting to the fan switch.
It needs to be the double relay 94461510403, some may only have a single relay I think.

I had this same exact issue, opened up the relay with a small screwdriver (case just bends open a bit and slides off) and one of the relays was stuck closed. Cleaned it up and lubricated it and all has been well - if that doesn’t work for you then they’re silly expensive new from Porsche so I’d be looking here and getting a solid state one:

It will be the rad fan switch, with age the fans dry out and fill with crap, when they startup in this condition the electrical load is increased, and it welds the rad switch contacts together

the fans are sealed so you can only pump them full of GT85, WD40 is a waste of time as it evaporates

One or the other! I have given the relay a good thump but to no avail and yes the solid state one with the fan test options looks a good bet if needed.
I suspect its the fan switch though as its on without the ignition being on. I shall see if my local chap has one kicking around I can try. He'll get the job of replacing the fan switch anyway if it isn't!
