...well your cars. Bit of a trivial question but I spotted a 912 in an old episode of The Protectors the other night and have also seen a 911 in an episode of the Avengers. Does anyone know if their car has appeared anywhere - Gavin yours is in Spy Game right?

I had a Karmann Ghia that I rented out to Ten Tenths (Nick Major from Pink Floys company) which was used for Nat West adverts and direct mail.

Yup mine was in 'Spygame' Robert Redford drove it at the beginning and end of the film. Extra longshots were done in the USA.
If you have the DVD watch the alternate ending as the pure 912 engine note has not been dubbed with a 911!
Apparently Brad Pitt and his missus went for a drive in it too!

Hope you haven't cleaned the seat! - errrr where Jenifer sat obviously!

Is that really your car? Did you buy it on Ebay as there was one claiming to be the spygame, on there a while ago.

Erm yes really it is... my car that is.

If you believe anything folks say on eBay well... what can I say [;)]

Seriously though, I know the guy whos car was used in the States for the 'freeway' shots and neither of us have sold our cars. There was also a big debate in GT Purley Porsche a while ago, someone was saying it was a 911 not a 12. All because they had 'heard' the engine on the film. As I have said before listen to the alternate ending and don't believe anyone who says anything on eBay [:D]

That link in the thread has quite a comprehensive list of Porsche in films and TV - must have taken him forever to put together!

Interesting thread... I have just posted a reply :) watch it go and go.

Interesting how Kurt thinks it's his car used for the principal photography of Bob driving. His car is a 69... so Porsche fans will notice that the posted pic is a pre69.
Also the road its driving on is not a US road, look at the markings.

Its interesting how the truth seems to be stretched to suit some... :O

The thread is hilarious, I particularly like this guys comment...
I would like to comfirm that PORSCHE BROTHERS is full of it. I know him personally and can tell you that his perspective is very twisted. I think he should be banned from posting replies on any and all rear engined Porsche topics. However, he does happen to be an authority in 928s.
I apologize to him for posting this, but its the truth.

Happy Holidays to all!!!

Gavin, just read your reply - which pharmaceutical headquarters did they film it at?

I have just been told that there is an early car in the new Matrix film at the end. I haven't seen the film but, I have been told its black 911/12.

Anyone know any more?

Thre was talk about it being a 912 on the Registry site but they said it was in Reloaded. Didn't see one in that, but as it was all shot at the same time maybe it was, they said it was outside a nightclub in one scene.

It was in the 3rd Matrix film (I get confused with the names) it pulled up outside the nightclub and two leather clad ladies got out of it.
It looked black with fuchs and I seem to think it was a post 69 car, only got a side on view though.

and it looks really great in the film and does the porsche proud i must admitt i dont know if its a 911 or 912 lets hope later...

I remember being called about using my car in Spy Games but unfortunately it was in the garage having an engine rebuild at the time which was a shame.
