Anyone around Folkestone that could do me a huge favour (fuel + time + beer tokens will be given)

Would anybody be able to take some time out of their schedule to possibly have a look at a 944? It doesn't have to be really thorough it's just that it's so much easier to see first hand what is wrong and what is alright with a car. I live in Manchester so it would be an 8hr 44min 546mile round trip for me or around £60 on the train, I have already emailed as many questions as i could (to the seller) asking about belts/waterpump being done, clutch changed since new, sills repaired or rust anywhere else etc so you wouldn't have to ask 1000 questions, just look around some specific areas that are hard to photograph.

If anybody has any free time, would be appreciated.

Regards,
Adam

I'm local ish, but I'm so snowed under at the mo. when do u need it checked out by? I'm based in herne bay. Do u require day light or can it be checked out in a petrol station with good lighting?

I could see if they will drive the car further out of Folkestone or near Canterbury? Where would you suggest for a meeting point?

This is all only if the snow isn't terrible, I wouldn't want anybody going out of their way if it's like i've seen on the news.

No snow here, canturbury would work out perfect, as I'm working over that way this week.

Or maybe chilham which is closer 2 Folkestone and its where my local Porsche gargae is. MIT even be able 2 get it checked over by them and on a ramp? I will be there Thursday wrapping up parts that Iv got on eBay

They said they're close to Junction 13 off the m20 so pretty close to Folkestone centre, should i see if they are willing to drive to Chilham? I'm awaiting some other pics tomorrow from inside the sills, rear quarters and engine bay so will see what these are like before going any further, don't want to waste peoples time.

oh.. and i literally thought you meant 'snowed under' as 10ft of snow on your driveway ;) ha

Canturbury fine if you want me 2 look around 4ish. Or chilham if u want me poke about underneath from a ramp.

They sent me some better pictures of most areas on the car, i've posted them in this thread (it should be on the correct page too about half way down) - http://www.porscheclubgbforum.com/tm.asp?m=751539&mpage=6&key=

If you could take a quick look here and see what you think (just before arranging anything as you may spot something straight away, just from the pics, that makes it not even worth looking at in person)

Looks ok in the pic, seems your awear off most the jobs required.

Call me 07525374985 MIT be a lot easyer

Tried calling but your phone is busy mate, will try again later.

She has said the car has no tax with it being garaged and they won't be putting any on as they are selling it so not to worry, i don't want you going out of your way. I will see how much train tickets are or wait to see if anyone else replies

How did it get 2 mot station? 12 months mot without tax? I can take a look next week maybe. Bit busyer with my mot failing on a chipped windscreen

DVLA say If the vehicle is insured and the MOT has been booked, you are legal to drive to and from the MOT station without tax, let me know if you're busy next week mate, no worries if not

Thanks again for the help so far,
Adam
