I know it's not until June but I wonder how many of you will be there. I'm staying in Houx Annexe and will be with a group of mates with a decent porsche count. My red 944 cab, my old 944 lux (that I sold to a mate), possibly a 914 ( depending on whether it makes it to the summer), and a 996. If you fancy a chat/beer by all means seek us out and pop by. It'd be good to meet some enthusiasts face to face.

James, Its not something we have done as a 944 outing recently, although a few of us did go to the Classic last year, I have intentions to see the LM 24 but perhaps when Porsche enter their LP1 after next year.

We went to the classics a few years ago (the first or second time they ran it) and thought it a little disappointing - we're tempted again though as people are saying it's got a lot better.
The 'proper' Le Mans did get very corporate-like a few years ago but the last couple have seen the return of the fun fair and, to be honest, it's become a bit of a default choice now as we've been going for about 12 years. Just an excuse to give our cars a run really and get away from normal life for a few days! Maybe a change is needed for next year - perhaps I'll see you at the classics.

Been to the Classic race twice and, found it very disappointing on both occasions. One might even call it boring [
]. The 24hr race proper, on the other hand, is superb [8D] and, incredibly exciting. We have been on numerous occasions and, over the past two or three years, it has just got more and more corporate and commercial, not to mention very expensive. And the beer is warm pi55!![
]. Wont be going this year although, may try it again next year. Off to the Nurburgring in a couple of weeks time for the ADAC 24hr Rennen [
][8D]!! Now, that IS another story completely...[

We will be having our open day at Village On the Curves ( Porsche Curves Interior) on the Friday before the race if anyone who has not booked with us would like to join us to sample good food and and excellent beer and wine then you will be more than welcome. We sell real ale and cold lager and is sensibly priced.
We will have also have our in House Band entertaining us in the evening.
All we ask is that you book in so that we can give you an arm band.
