Any suggestions

Annoyingly when standing on the open door cill in order to clean the roof at the drivers side rear door, I didn't notice that I had stones in my shoes sole and put two lovely deep scratches in the paint, how annoying.

Any suggestions apart from painting, the Porsche repairer said £1600! Door off, paint and bake on, engine reset, lots of stuff and that is maybe the perfect text book answer as car is two weeks old, as a past customer they would half the price.

Other ideas could be to get cill covers if they are available, any suggestions as to options, another one is to get a car wrap company to do two matt black special cut pieces, one for each side, it will protect the paint and cost a fraction of the painting price which is unnecessary.

Get a Smart repairer to have a look at it. I have seen some amazing repairs done on site and for less than a tank of fuel. They fill the scratch with basecoat and polish it smooth. I'd then put some clear protector over it for a factory finish
Did you get that gut wrenching sick feeling[&:], followed by 'how can I blame someone else for it'.[:mad:] I never wash the roof of my touareg as I'm a short arse and live in a bungalow, so I never see it[:D]
