Anti Freeze for 944 Turbo SE ???

Bottom line you need an antifreeze designed specifically for aluminium engines with an oxidation inhibitor. In addition to that, you need to make sure you put in the same colour of antifreeze that went in last time, blue, pink, green/yellow etc.
The reason for the later point is that if you mix the different colours this can lead to sludge or sedimentation that will block up the radiator and other smaller water channels.

Another good reason to have a power flush when you change coolant. The first good reason is the problem with air locks in the cooling system on the 944. If a power (vacuum) system is used - there are no air pockets - if manual or non-pressure techniques are used - you must be careful to bleed the system using the top screw several times until you have all the air out. I've heard that using a manual pressure tester (like a radiator cap tester that will fit to the overflow tank) you can pressurize the system and force out any air.
