ALTHORP NATIONAL EVENT 2015

Since I have been entirely underwhelmed by the response to my request for cars thru Porsche Post for the above event, I can only assume that:

a) you don't read Porsche Post;

or

b) you are in such a state of shock at a Register Report that you cannot respond,

so....

So, to the point, Althorp, THE PCGB National Event, weekend of August 15 and 16, 2015. I need ten cars per day for the display. Ticket details and details of the event will be seen elsewhere in a previous Porsche Post. If you do wish to display, please take the trouble to put an A4 car history of YOUR car together, not the genre, YOUR car ""people like to read these, and put on the dashboard. And register your interest with me in on 964rsATporscheclubgb.com.

Those who have read the article will note that I have deleted the reference to John Dunn as Register Director as we have a new guy.... that nobody seems to have heard of!!!

What issue was the Register Report in, Mel? I must suggest it's immediately archived as a rare issue. [;)] Sadly, I've had no input from our new Register Director either. It really needs addressing as Registers are as key to the Club as Regions. [&o]

This might be interesting for you The number of Registers, minimum size and level of activity thereof was discussed. It was agreed that some reorganisation may be required and active management of the requirement to create any new registers.

Gruppenfuhrer - I do hope some of the polishers come out for you . I will be there on Sunday display in the venerable 356 as requested by the 356 Register Secretary......planning to bring the missus as she wants to look round the Spencer's place - I think its too big personally....

Melv - please see my post in the 993RS forum.

Look forward to hearing back from you or Paul as necessary.

Cheers - Chris

Hi Melv - yes, all OK and I'm organising to take the 64 on the Sunday as you requested.

Cheers - Chris

As always Paul on the same Hymn Sheet on this subject ….. I recall all Registers were asked in the past for The National Event every year, even with a small appearance of two or three cars … at least with an active Register Sec making the call as Melv above, as Reg Sec you have fulfilled your mandate and the chance given to the members to either show off their track rubber all over the bonnet or a finely polished example or anything in between. [:)]

I put the call out long ago and pleased to say we have a small but none the less a display including an RS60[:D] rebuilt in detail with Aluminium with all Porsche Parts and a Porsche VIN. It will be a very mid engined display, with some Register members choosing their generic Display.

Hi Melv

Would you like my car for Sunday and maybe Saturday?

I have just renewed and booked tickets.

Hi Melv - have just sent you a pm with address details for pass as requested.

Cheers - Chris
