Alternative geo settings

The geometry on my car is very aggressive and setup for pure track use.

As the car will be mainly fast road with a few trackdays thrown in when possible then has anyone got a tried and tested setup, something with a bit more focus than the factory geometry but won't kill my tyres if I take a trip down the motorway? :)

Car has KW Clubsport suspension with racer's edge adjustable solid top mounts, polybushed 968 arbs and currently on 17" wheels.

I've already got the tool for adjusting the rears and have access to a mate with a 4 wheel laser alignment setup.

David,

Here is the geo Chris at Center Gravity did for me, its the one he uses for fast road on the 944. Page 2 gives you the before settings on left, Porsche specs (Target Data) in middle and Chris's setup on right. It has little negative camber but not loads, too much and the car meanders. He also reduced toe in, which made a significant difference as the rear was slow to move with the steering inputs up front, with less toe in the car turns in much more swiftly. Car is well balanced now too. He is happy for me to share the settings with anyone. You could use it as a base perhaps adding a little more camber if you want.

How do you find the clubsports on the roads? I know they are designed to be track coilovers that can be used on road. (In contract to Kwv3's which are road coilovers that can be used on track).

Thanks Edd, just the person I was hoping to respond and with the info I want too. I'll get the file downloaded when I'm not on my iPhone.

The club sports are firm, in combination with the solid top mounts it's very stiff. Poor road surfaces and cats eyes are felt and you actively avoid the rough bits of Tarmac. However, when pushing on with some dedication the feedback is incredible.

I can't wait to get it on track to fully exploit the handling, it's ideal for me as I do 1-2k miles per year all for maximum fun. A daily driver it is not! If I manage to get to something more central then your welcome to have a try.

David,

I have some rather more aggressive settings (also from Chris at C of G) - perhaps we can have a chat about them at Bedford... A friend has been using them for a while - they are really track focussed. Mine has just been set up using them following suspension upgrade and re-index. Bedford should be quite interesting!!

See you then

I'm sure Bedford will be very interesting but unfortunately I can't go.

I'd be interested in your setting though if you don't mind emailing them to me via my profile?

Thanks, David
