I've just had all four of my alloys on the 944 S2 fully refurbished by Fenwicks in Northallerton and the quality is absoloutely excellent [
]
Fenwicks is owned by one of our members Mike Fenwick and he is offering this service to all members at trade prices. This is not just a rub down and respray, I left the car with Mike for a couple of days (I believe he can do them in a day if he gets enough notice) all four wheels removed from the car, tyres, valves and weights removed then all the wheels go through the following process;
1. Chemical stripping of existing finish.
2. Fully bead blasted and then baked in the oven to remove any impurities and moisture.
3. Then powder coated with an undercoat and baked again.
4. Then powder coated with the outer colour (several available including the exact finish for Porsches) and baked again.
5. Finally fully powder coated with a lacquer front and back.
The final finish is fantastic and I highly recommend you speak to Mike, he's a top bloke and very approachable [
].
If you are thinking of getting your wheels fettled, have a look at his website here;
