Air conditioning tick

Evening all,

Over the past couple of months I have noticed a distinct ticking noise coming from almost inside the dash. Crucially if I turn the AC off it instantly stops.

Now current thinking is this might be a blend valve, however not being overly familiar with air con I was seeing if anyone had come across this themselves?

It's a gen 2 987.

Could it be a trapped leaf in the cabin filter, assuming 987.2's have them?

I agree with Dave that the under-bonnet pollen filter should be your first port of call. If you remove the filter [plenty of help online] you should be able to gain access to the fan to check that it’s rotating freely and that there’s nothing fouling it.
