Added lightness...

I didn't want to put your name on it Peter - after all, I did that with the supercharger... [;)]

Looks like a really interesting project. I wonder what race series it could actually be entered into though.

Bit of money has been thrown at that, but still at 9k there is a lot of work to be done. Interesting nonetheless.

That's a project Simon (ESS) bought, if I had the money it wouldn't be on the market, I can assure you!

Was it the lightweight nature that attracted him? :)

To be honest I think he might struggle to sell in that condition - maybe with fresh paint, and a as a rolling shell - should have got that turbo Elliot was after!

This real one was only about £35K with moulds iirc (or did it not sell at 35k)

If I win the lottery I will be looking for it :)

That's 'Stupid cheap' at 35k!!

I know I guess will be eligible for Le mans historic soon as well - If only I didn't need a bigger house etc etc. :) I think Paul S knows the details of the auction - it might of made 35k and been below reserve - too far back for my mind to recall!

I have the same vague recollection that you have - I don't think it sold at that price and I haven't seen it offered anywhere else since. Maybe he'll accept £20k now [;)]

I have a nice folder of close up pics somewhere
