My accelerator pedal snapped recently and left only the small bottom section attached to the floor.
After a couple of weeks driving around like that I removed the small section from the floor but half of the thread snapped off so I've not got a tall enough thread to bolt the new pedal on. So far I've tried making the hole in the pedal bigger and using a stud connector, this did hold the new pedal in but it kept sticking when I put my foot right down so I'm back driving without a pedal.
Are there any pedals I can buy that don't need to be bolted to the floor or any ideas how I can attach the new one without removing the old threads and having new ones welded on?
