Abandoned project as a result of new purchase

I joined this site a couple of years back after buying a 1982 944 with the intention of restoring it, however I never got around to doing a great deal to it, shame on me. Now I have just purchased a roadworthy 944 S2 and I must say I'm very pleased. I will no doubt break the 1982 model and salvage what parts maybe inter-changeable with the S2. My reason for starting this thread is to give you all fair warning that the likelihood is that I will be asking lots of questions. So here's one for starters. The rev counter works intermittently, is this likely to be a loose connection to the rear of the instrument.

Nothing is interchangeable, really. Bdtter to sell than break. Theres a poster looking to buy a 1982 too.

Thanks for the information, just goes to show how little I know about the 944. The 1982 Porsche I have could be restored with some time and effort. I haven't seen the post you refer too.

Thanks for the link Andy

I wouldnt think he would be interested in mine after reading his post, especially as hes after a LHD and a nice one at that.

Would confirm what has been said - I had an 83 and an 89 for a while and nuts and bolts is about the list!
