Hello, all
Has anyone ever had a 964 Tiptronic on the track, or does anyone know of any reasons whay it is a bad idea? Any Tip-tips?
All the technical people to whom I have spoken have told me that the Tiptronic gearbox is virtually trouble-free, but I wonder if it is up to track day use. I exopect that it is not a usual thing - using a Tiprtonic car on a track day - but my 964 Tiptronic is the only Porsche I have, I have no option. I really don't want to break it because it is my msin csr.
I also wonder if anyone ever raced one in a production car class. It might loose places off the line. but the fast, full-power upchanges must count for something (they sure-as-helll do on the road).
