Just a quick heads up should any other R3 members be thinking about heading down to Bicester for this year’s Club Christmas event. I had hoped the powers that be would eventually create an event of this nature further north but sadly not, so unfortunately some of us will just have to make the 600 mile round trip should you want to participate, but fear not I have it on pretty good authority Bicester is only around 2hrs drive for most club members. In reality though, I would rather not spend roughly 10hrs driving there and back in a single day so Deb & I have decided to make a bit of a weekend of it. We intend to travel down on Saturday 10th and stay at the very competitively priced Marston Inn, Paisley Pear, Northampton Road, Brackley, Northamptonshire NN13 5SZ, not that far from Silverstone Circuit and only around 25 mins drive the next morning to the venue.
When I booked the hotel this afternoon they did have quite a few rooms still available so I thought before they all go I would see if anyone else fancied heading down to this together or meeting at the hotel on the Saturday evening.
