Maybe its just the cold and the snow, but the 944 has been a bit grumpy today.
On the way to work I noticed that the fuel economy gauge has stopped working. As all the other gauges are working as well (or as badly - fuel gauge[&:]) as before I'm guessing it's probably a loose vacuum pipe somewhere.
When I started it up to come home from work, the car started to emmit a strange wailing noise. The volume increased with revs. I parked up and gave it a few blasts of the throttle and the noise went away. I'm totally baffled as to what that was! It was almost as if someone had bolted a wind instrument between the air filter and the MAF.
And then on the way home I went to McDonalds. Maybe the car is worried about my health, but it wouldn't allow me to wind the window down to make my order. I had to open the door! I spent the whole time after ordering pressing the window switch up and down and eventually it started working again. What on earth could be causing that? Dodgy connection on the switch?
