As some of you may have read in Porsche Post, Gaydon Heritage Motor Centre are running a Costwold Rally style rally on this Sunday - It's actually the team from Porsche Club who are running it so it will be no different to the Cotswold Rally of old except it starts and finishes at Gaydon. ie It should be great. [:)]

The is another difference in that any car over 20 years old can take part, no mater what make.......so 944's will qualify [:)]

Seemingly the event hasn't perhaps been as well publicised as it might so there are still places available. So, if you fancy something to do in your car this Sunday, get on the phone to Gaydon and get booked. You we have some great driving and get to see some great cars.

And I'm there too. But don't say hello to me as I'm a miserable git......but that's no reason not to go.

Not only are places remaining but there is another cost option.

(1) The full package including entry to the Heritage Motor Centre at Gaydon, entry to Blenheim, Rally plates, windscreen stickers and a packed lunch for 2 people. Cost £49.

(2) As above but not including the packed lunch (take a picnic) £29

If you are interested contact the the Heritage Motor Centre or me through this thread or e-mail g.ives1@btconnect.com

I echo that -

2) John really can be very miserable [;)]

We did.
On the downside my radiator split on the way to the event and I had to return for No.2 Porsche.

Well as not many of you turned up for this one I hope you will enjoy the video and get your entries in a bit sharpish for next year.

While we are all Porsche enthusiasts it was great to see some other cars for a change. As you will see there were a lot of Triumphs, probably because the Heritage Motor Centre only really got around to promoting the event with the Triumph owners Club.

It was, none the less a great event, with much learnt by Heritage Motor Centre particularly (Geoff and his team have been doing this for so many years now we pretty much have the hang of our end - and can even deputise when the principal organiser goes missing [;)] ).

Heritage Insurance were a great sponsor, much in evidence supporting the event and providing sundry goodies, over and above subsidising the cost to the entrants.
