£35 for a used badge which costs about a tenner new from Porsche. Parasite.

I'm amazed how often stuff is sold on ebay for more, sometimes much more than you can buy it for from an OPC. Its not just ebay sellers either, some large Porsche parts retailers also want more than the OPC.

I always now give them a ring with the part numbers to check prices and nearly always buy from OPC.

Having put one of these on my car last year the silver one was £32-ish and the black one was about £9-ish according to Design911's fast part finder.

When I ordered it I was told that the price had changed and they were now both £32-ish :(

Im wrong, in as much as the new cost is now £30-odd, but it is still cheaper to buy a new one than this old one lashed-up with new tape. So: even though I was wrong about the price I stand by my assertion that theyre chancers and to be avoided.

I bought a wing from them a few years ago. It arrived in a damaged state. Sure I had paypal protection etc but they provided a no quibble refund.

It is entirely true that there are sellers out there selling used items (or new items) at greater than the official Porsche centre cost.

I too have done business with them and was very happy with the price paid, the service and the goods received.

Simon, have you actually done any business with them or is your condemnation simply due to an item which you perceive to be too expensive?

I find some OPC prices much lower than anywhere else

I bought the black(fragile) plastic dashboard trim thats goes from the door to the heater controls (i broke it when I rebuild my clock)

theres one waiting for me in wilmslow porsche center that cost me 20 quid ,its new never been scrached ,pulled or broken Ive
seen them on ebay for more lol

I saw a plastic (black) elbow thats on the water pump ,mine was leaking £3.41 from porsche I'd been watching one on ebay also brand new
it went for about 9 quid

When ou pick the trim piece up you'll find it doesn't match any of the others though as they've all aged and gone brown.

I sprayed them all gloss black.

I have seen this time and time again from many retailers (I have acquired a few Porsche receipts for the car now!).

The only time I found Porsche a little pricier was for a DME relay. They wanted £60, and a specialist (for apparently a genuine relay of the latest revision) sold it for £20.
