Hi,
i recently got under the wheel arches to clean and inspect the perished bump stop that my main dealer highlighted for attention and see rust around the top of strut (nearside). The car has now just completed 67000 miles and drives well as far as I can tell but I just wondered about replacing both struts given the next mot is in March 2024 and don’t want a fail. Main dealer came up with an incredible cost which included my now Classic 15% discount of £3587.00.
I also have a very well respected specialist who has quoted £ 2027.00 OE parts. I’ve no intention of entertaining the main dealers cost as you might imagine I’ve attached a picture of the main NS strut for anyone’s opinions as to if it’s a needed replacement. SWMBO is not entirely in favour!
Thanks.
