996 outdoor car cover

Hello,

Please could anyone recommend a good quality tailor fit outdoor car cover for 966. I have seen some types on the internet but can't tell if they are really any good. Many thanks

I bought mine from OPC... although assigned for the 997 its fits the 996 like a glove... well mine certainly did, plus it comes with a porsche crest on the bonnet. I have some pics of it somewhere [] it looks great!

It only cost me £110 - with a shoulder carry bag (tell them you're a PCGB member) and has lasted me 2 years. I wash it at the laundrette every 6 months or so and the water proof and breathable qualities are like new again. I was going to get the heavier version (which isn't breathable) but this is better as you can even put it on the car when it's wet (if you really have to) and the car will dry out underneath it. As long as your car is well waxed (which most are) this is a great cover.

I'd be very careful of the OPC ones; I don't think that they're designed for outdoor use - plus they tend to be a bit of an advert, If you know what I mean!?

Like Adrian, I keep the car polished and wouldnt cover unless cleaned. The cover I purchased was specified as an outdoor cover.

It has a pull string system at the bottom of the cover once on the car creating a snug fit.

Hi Paul,

I have an outdoor breathable one (will get the make for you) cost about £120 ish a year or so ago. Comes with a case etc.

Unfortuntaley its doesnt fit my car now due to a new rear spoiler.

If your interested then I can get the details / photos and you might like to make me an offer?
