Hello All
I have just taken my 996.2 2002 out of storage and I cant get the key fobs to wake back up.
The battery went flat on the car which I have used a booster pack on and the cars driving all normal. The normal way of getting it out of sleep mode hasnt worked. Both my keys are lighting up red. The dashboard is flashing red.
My mechanic friends have said it has lost its coding [8|]
Am I into new keys at porsche?
Thanks in advance

Thats a shame, I've had a good look online and unable to find a solution at present.
Hope you find a reasonable priced fix.
Andy

There is guy but nr Glasgow who can reprogramme keys worth a call you could post out registered /tracked porsche keys 07762 725041 his name is Boyd Beattie

Have you tried the reset and resync procedures described in the JMG Porsche doc linked previously ?

Try the re-sync. If that fails I’d suggest doing it properly to avoid having to do it again (potentially) in a few months time. Bit of a pita from a wallet perspective but worth it from a usability point of view. That’s what I did.
