993 Headlights

Not sure if you know how so if you look behind the side carpet on the side under the bonnet you will see a gold looking lever secured by a rubber clip. Release from there and lever back and forth to release the headlight unit out. You should then see the frame for the lens like shown T911 pic

The lens has become detached from the part that clips into the headlight unit so that is what I need to secure and it appears the only way is to use some form or sealant.
When I bought the car 5 years ago, the lens was cracked and the dealer replaced it but, I suspect, not very well.

When the light is refitted to the car and the locking lever is closed it compresses the outer rubber seal with quite some force, sealant will not hold up to that.
It may be best to get some fresh lenses..
