993 2S - Exhaust mufflers to replace and new shock absorbers all round.

Stephen, I had exactly the same problem on my cab, Dansk mufflers that were reverberating inside my head after about 10 miles and unbearable after 20. It was more about the resonance rather than the shear volume, although they were loud too. Likewise I wasn't bothered about power improvements so had a look around and came across these: 993 Rear Silencers Per Pair 304 Stainless Steel All Carrera models 1994-1998 (porshop.co.uk) I'm not sure they are the purists choice but I had them fitted by a local garage and the problem is solved. I love getting the top down on long journeys and now I can enter a car park without everyone turning around to see what's coming

Really useful advice on this thread, thank you. I am preparing to replace the suspension / shocks on my C2S and have opted for B8 / MO33 which I have bought through Design 911.

As part of this I need new top mounts and roll bar links. The question I have is whether these should be genuine parts or aftermarket? Difference in price is about £70-100 per part. Design 911 said they have not had issues with these aftermarket parts and I have provisional gone with them on the basis that the parts are not that complex, however I am open to change if the advice is that this will be detrimental to car, mechanically or for future value?!

I’d appreciate any advice.

Just jumping onto this old thread but I would like to change the exhaust tips on my car - its a 1998 C4S and has had Gillet Silencers fitted at one stage and the current tips use an angled/offset pipe to connect to the silencer? I had a look on your website and these ones look similar (the most expensive option :) ) but I like the look of these because I am looking for non-protruding, less chunky, and not so much 'chrome' (stainless steel) as my current ones?

The tip is around 14 cm long on the top edge and it protrudes about 4cm from the bumper, which is too much for my taste
