992 (and other new models) 2022 price increase

I'm currently waiting on delivery for a GTS I ordered back in the summer (delivery end Q1 22) and when loading up my build today to check some items I was prompted with a notice the base price had increased from £108K to £111k.

Has anyone else noticed this on their models and do any of you have experience of price changes while awaiting delivery?

I'll be talking to my OPC later this week anyway about a few other things but thought I'd see if this effected anyone else.

I assume you mean 992. The PC's I have dealt with in recent years have upheld the price quoted at the time the order form was signed and deposit paid. But you're right to confirm it with your supplying PC just to see how the land lies!

I did indeed. [:)]

Thanks Clive. I scanned my order form and all the references were to agreed prices and nothing on changes of price while awaiting delivery.

I'll update the thread once I get confirmation just incase anyone else is concerned.

I checked with my OPC today and he confirmed I wasn‘t impacted by this price increase. Anyone who placed a deposit and ordered before this price increase will not be impacted. Only those who place an order from today will have to pay the newer price. I was relieved to hear that 😊🙏🏼

My dealer also confirmed yesterday I would pay the price as stated when I put my deposit down in August, not the new price

My second car is an Audi so I get flyer e-mails from them every now and then. Today’s one warns of a price increase of between 2% and 6% effective December 1 2021. They do say, however, that any orders placed before that date for delivery after December 1 will not incur the increase. I wonder if that will be the policy across all VW brands. I placed an order and paid a deposit for a C2S in March 2021 (delivery date is now unknown) and now need to contact my OPC to see if I will incur the increase.

Update - OPC has confirmed that the price increase will NOT apply to my March 21 order. Phew!!

Does any one know what the basic price increase has been on a 992S, although order placed for 2023, I am hoping they will keep to the price when I placed the order beginning of October.

£2,460 on basic price. OPC has confirmed that orders placed before the increase date will not incur the increase.

Deposit and order on a GTS. April this year. OPC say no price increase only if your car is at the build stage. So have it to pay

I would have thought all OPC had the same policy.

You need to query the "build stage" comment with your OPC since all of the others' OPC's in this thread are saying the price increase is only applicable if you ordered after the date of the increase.

Also, I made sure that I got an e-mail reply form my OPC stating that there would be no increase on my new car as I placed the order in March 2021.

I'm popping in to Norwich tomorrow to test drive their GTS demonstrator. I paid my deposit in June and the spec was locked down on 4 November but I'll double check in any event just to put your mind (and mine!) at rest.

My sales guy confirmed existing confirmed orders would proceed at 2021 prices, regardless of delivery date.

They will hold it for MY2022, if the car will not be delivered into 2023 MY2023, they might not hold the price for that
