Apparently my Boxster has one: no mention of it in the handbook, so where is it and how useful is it?
This refers to a 997 - but same deal for 987 - the actual TSB's used to be available from renntech - but appears they got a cease and desist note from Porsche lawyers. https://www.renntech.org/topic/39010-battery-disconnection-switch/Many thanks - enlightenment.
Its part of the "build spec" - if you get the details from any source against VIN number it's there - similar to "dials in English" and "steel doors" and alarm system - whilst not an option as such it's part of the "recipe" for the car.Yes, well done on that one Paul. Although it explains why there’s no mention of it in the Driver’s Manual it does call into question why it seems to be included in the My Porsche app? Clearly an oversight.
