Apologies in advance as I bet this has been covered for decades but I've looked under every rock and every post but can't seem to find an answer. Even the manual is useless.

So..... Where can I earth a hardwired CTEK trickle charger on my Boxster assuming not the negative terminal? On my 991 I've got it onto the earth bolt but on the Boxster I can't find a mention of it anywhere.

Thx!

Must be somewhere you can tap an earth point on the body, on our 981 there is an empty bolt hole not far from the battery we connected ours to this all we needed to find/buy was a suitable threaded bolt.

I've clipped it to the battery directly and, as you will have noticed, the world hasn't ended quite yet. So for anyone else laying theirs up over winter I've found no issues so far.

If you follow the cable from the negative terminal you should find that it’s bolted directly to the body, so as you’ve found out it’s perfectly acceptable to connect your CTEK directly to that terminal without encountering any problems.
