986/996 Brake Master Cylinder PSM question

Hi!

Does anyone know whether it is phisically possible to mix up the part by mistake when swapping the 986/996 brake master cylinder for a PSM car - e.g. with a non-PSM version or 987/997 one? Do they have different layout, power/hydrolic lines?
