981 Sports Exhaust PSE

Does anyone know what the current cost is to fit a PSE to a 2.7 981 (15) ? I live close to Towcester/Silverstone but there may be Specialists who are more competitive.

I've never had a quote less than just over £2k. RPM Tecnik quoted me somthing similar a while back.
 
I have the invoice here from Porsche Centre Leeds who fitted mine. The previous owner paid £2042 all in.

The less Vat prices where:
£340 fitting
£1250 Exhaust
£100 Combined switch
£12.20 for 4 screws.

Sure you'd get it fitted cheaper by someone like DW in Wellingborough.
 
Mine was £1796 two years ago from OPC Cambridge, it was a sweetner deal on my 981 so maybe less than normally priced.
It's worth every penny though [:)]
 
Got mine back in July 2015 from Silverstone OPC for just £1600 inc part, labour and VAT - it was a promotion at the time. They even shipped the old exhaust down to my home address afterwards so that I could sell it onto the Exhaust modifiers in Belgium for a couple of hundred quid. So all told cost me just £1400 and it sounds great!
 
I visited Gert at Carnewal in Belgium when I had my 981. I had the GT exhaust done to mine. It was a great edition and worked very much like pse with the sport button making it louder.
It costs about £500 and is well worth it imo.

What upgrade have you done to the steering wheel? A 718 wheel?
 
I installed the Sports Design Steering wheel with Sport,Sports + , and launch control...on took 30 mins

 
I have my exhaust booked for November, what I have heard is this, and I wonder if anyone could confirm:
2.7 boxster
1. pressing the exhaust button (at idle) does very little
2. PSE was probably designed for 6 speed, PDK - 7 speed drones on motorway - 70 mph in 7th
3. distinct Difference in sound exhaust button on/off

1. Agreed. when switched 'on' the frequency of the noise may drop very slightly.
2. Yes the drone at around 2k rpm is annoying
3. Don't understand what you mean here.......
 
When I was looking for my car, 981 2016 PDK, one of the things I was totally sure about was to NOT have the sports exhaust. The drone at 70 ish on the motorway, and which I do a lot of my driving on, would have driven me mad! I made sure I drove two or three cars with PSE on demo when I was searching and all of them had this maddening drone. Now it may be that as I wear super duper intelligent hearing aids, that they may have been amplifying the drone more, but its definitely not for me .
Just a thought.

i don’t wear my aids in the car but PSE was one of the first on my list !,
i LOVE it and never noticed the drone but to be fair I mainly have it on in country roads not on boring motorway cruises
one mans ......??

If you get the PSE job done at Silverstone dont forget to ask for your PCGB membership discount.
