I ordered a new sunstrip for the 68 . Very good quality and a good price. Fitted it today and pleased with the end result.

That looks superb Kev. Just looking on their website as I have been considering one of these - do you have to order the 'Porsche' script separately? Edited to ask - I notice you've also replace the front sidelights for brake ducts - did this pass MOT ok? Thanks Ben

FYI the one I have fitted is the deep version which is supposed to be track only. It was a problem getting it through the MOT as I just have headlights, either dipped or main beam but where there's a will there's a way [;)] Kev

That looks great, and thanks for posting as it reminds me I will need one as well after stripping all the headlining out today.

Ben. On a "nornal" 968 the front lights are driving lamps, a type of "spot" lamp.. NOT side lights, as the side lights are in the headlight... Kev,s is far from a standard 968....[;)][:D][;)][:D] I know where your going though, with the 944....Fen repositioned his side lights in the indicator unit...Im sure there is some pics of it, how to do, somewhere...

Makes me realise how good black can look done properly. Will be ordering one of those sun strips asap and I think the wheels definately black when refurbed. Or orange. Red? Drove it to the bodyshop yesterday with all the parts needed and I have more parts sat at the OPC ready for pickup. The invoices seem to be adding up already[] First job on return is torsion tube out to replace the rubber mountings which seem to have suffered quite badly on this car which accounts for it sitting very low at the rear. I might as well replace the swing arm & tube mounting bushes with polys I suppose[;)]. Also easier to replace the brake lines & fuel lines, which are also badly corroded, with the tube dropped. Talking of parts - Stu, if you read this, where's me bits?[&:] Have the log book now so writing to previous owner with request for any service details. Cheers Dave

Hi Kev. I love your head light conversion. Where did you get them from, or are they something you made yourself? John

Hi John, The fixed headlight are cheap lights from Hella ( I will try to find the original bill ). The covers, which are really well made, were less than £50 from a company in Maldon, Essex. PM me if you need any contact details. ..and on top of all that you can sell your original lights on fleabay and still be quids in [:D] [link=http://www.porscheclubgbforum.com/%3Ca%20href=]
