968 daily driver?

Hi All,
Currently have a low miles 2005 cooper s for my daily 60 mile drive to work and back. I also have a 911 speedster for weekend fun but want something that is more of an event to drive every day. Can a late 968 handle all weather daily work?

There are quite a few 968 owners that use them as daily drivers! As ever, maintenance is key, but a lot of 968 maintenance is relativly easy (oil change, air filter, plugs), fuel filter can be a bit awkward, cam/balance belts and rollers every 4 years is about 2 1/2 hours labour plus parts (buy from the likes of Mr Auto for £220 instead of Porsche parts for £400+!!).

The 968 forum here is rather quiet, if you're serious about a 968 you should investigate the Porsche968uk forum which is very active. Some members of that forum also post on here (myself included).

For a daily driver and 300 miles per week, I'd recommend a coupe rather than a Sport or CS, they're cheaper and more comfortable - but not much for sale at the moment!

i bought mine as a daily driver & it's not missed a beat for the last 3 years, im now looking for something newer but not because I don't love the 968, it's a great car to drive every day

yes, absolutely, I've had my 968CS for 13 years and for 6 of those years every day, all weather, all year round.
