I'd be surprised if the lettering has been blasted flat, it's more likely that it's a build up of paint from previous refurbs., and more recently they've been refurbed on the cheap and not stripped thoroughly. Provided the wheels are not buckled I think they could be made good. Based on my experience, to get these properly refurbished and the definition brought back in to the lettering is going to cost ~£800.

The Buy it Now price is possibly a bit optimistic....

What do they say about assumption being the mother of....[&o] Ive just done some digging and i think you are right!

mine have been blasted to heavy at some stage as i have seen them stripped before painting, although no welding or buckles and allways keep tyre pressure

is it possible to get lettering back if this has been done?? i thought not[]

correct... when the lettering tends to be too "deep", it's the paint that is too thick... chemical remove of all paint, new coating and decent paint... wheels will be as new... purchased a set in Holland lateely with the same problem
