964 Buyers Guide

This months GT Purely Posrsche contains the 964 Buyers Guide that a few of us attended at Bruntingthorpe.

It's a good read, and quite a good edition as they have interviewed Nick Mason and there is an article on the Nurburgring 24hr...

Article looks great, the photography is spot on and the line up of the cars looks cool.

Each car has a double page spread of images along with loads of copy about the model. I've read through it and they are almost spot on with everything.

Well worth getting and keeping for the future.

Cheers

Ollie

I was under the impression that we would all get a copy of the magazine and a CD of the pictures that Max took. I thought that it came out on the 12th.

Apparently the specification for the 964 Carrera 2 and Carrera 4 includes a power-unit with 2600cc

Ollie,

Actually it's the frist time I have read this magazine (just been given the June and July issues) and it has plenty of really good articles in it.

Well worth the read, especially if you can get it for nothing!!

Kevin

Got to say guys fully enjoyed all the 964 features in this months GT - a really understated Porsche IMO

Received a cd full of pix today.

If this has got anything to do with you Oliver, Thanks.

Rob

Glad you got it, I spoke to Chris last week and he said he would get round to sending them out.

Are you at Donnington on Friday?

I'm there in the evening as a friend is practising for his first race on Sunday! Won't be in the RS though as it is having its brakes refreshed after the abuse at the Ring and Spa [;)]

I am at Donnington on fri. but only spectating.

Need to get a service done before I thrash it round the track and funds are low[:(]

Rob

I plan to get there about 5'ish as we are there for the evening track event not the PCGB one.

Might see you there.

Ollie

How many pictures did you get on your CD Rob? All that was on mine was the ones that appeared in GT magazine. I thought we would get all the pictures that Max took of each car as he took a shedload of each one and not jut the ones that got published.

Regards,

Neil Eldred

Neil

I got about 12 shots of the RS, some static and some with me giving it some stick on the track.

I think the photographer can only send you images of your personal car otherwise you would need permission from all other parties to have their images too. On the other hand I could be talking out of my backside and this is not the reason :)

Cheers

Ollie

My CD just contained the photo's that were in the mag.

Mailed Chris at GT and asked if there were any unpublished photo's of my car taht I could have and he sent another 6 or 7 by email.

Rob

I will email Chris tomorrow. I was just expecting the pictures of just my car anyway Oliver ( even though yours is very nice BTW ) [;)]
I only got the 4 static pictures of mine and I know that Max took a load of pictures on the right hander before the long straight. I must be too ugly for driving pictures !!

Regards,

Neil Eldred
