944 Wheel spacers

I have recently bought a 944S2. Car is beautiful with a fully documented total mileage of 35K. I was thinking of lowering the suspension on the car and was advised that to make the wheels properly fill the arches I should use wheel spacers. I went to Kirkistown race meeting on Saturday and noticed that all the 944s / 968s that I saw (road + race) were running spacers.
Do spacers not upset the handling/steering & damage the wheelbearings?

I'd suggest you ask in teh 944 forum .. those guys seem pretty knowledgable & helpful.

First of all congrats...35k, bloody hell.
yep. head to the 944 forum.
was up at kirkistown T.V.R. track day on sunday....well it did give me somethin to pass, !
