Hi All

Can anyone advise on performance systems for my car, the exhaust doesn't seem to get discuss very much regarding upgrades, will also need to consider the fitting of my TiAL DPW on to the new system ?!!

I have only just heard of Fabspeed & a while ago heard of "Hayward & Scott" but though they seemed quite pricey.

I do want something that provides a nice note, quality, anything else i should look at ??

Thanks [:)]

Full system or just the rear section? how much will the Fabspeed exhaust cost once its been shipped plus import taxes.

Full system, and not sure on costs as thats something i am looking for advice on...

From there website it looks to me that "MarkK" is running one ?!!

Thanks

Broadspeed are another company in the US who ship to the uk, shipping for their rear section was quoted to me recently at $300

I had the last wortec exhaust from Promax but Fabspeed were next on my list. I think they were pretty competitive price wise for the whole system even with postage.

My Decat pipe is by Haywood and Scott which I am having fun fitting because of a sheared stud that goes into the downpipe [:(]

The other pre built systems available are the stainless from www.speedforceracing.com and the mild steel from www.lindseyracing.com

After that you will need a UK fabricator to build one for your car like http://www.mijperformance.com/ and http://www.longlife.co.uk/ or if you do a Google in your hometown there is probably a local fabricator

About 4 years ago I was quoted circa ÂŁ700 from Longlife for a full 3" system from the turbo discharge pipe backwards

The Fabspeed products are ace they look great with smooth bends and joins, mirror finish.
They arrive quick too!I had the 3 inch on my ex turbo racecar and run the 4 inch on my red turbo.
Pukka gear.

Whilst we are talking exhausts: does anyone have experience of a Janspeed and are they still being manufactured?

I have a Janspeed rear section on my 968 racecar,I think they are popular racecar choice, sound good, good flow, and cheap.
On the Fabspeed website a turbo exhaust is $895 ,they only advertise the 3 inch now, loads of imfo on the site including videos demonstrating what they sound like. They look so lovely I want one on my black car,the minute my rear box blows I am getting one.

Fabspeed got my money for the down pipe and front pipe, the rest had to be custom made here in the UK as they do not do the last section for a 968 to match the turbo front section. Their stuff is really good quality, nothing else out there that I have seen that is as good for the money and that will be at your door in a week.

I asked them in Feb - no turbo exhausts anymore sadly.

Bum. I thought I remembered reading that they were ending production of the 951 part. Id considered buying one because I was looking for a Turbo...

I thought Janspeed made exhausts to order? Last time I spoke to them they told me they can make a batch, minimum about 8-10 iirc. If they do that for the S2 cant see why they couldnt for the turbo, you just need a group buy or company like Promax to commission a batch or 2. Although I appreciate that's not that easy..
Another company to look at is Zero exhausts, great quality work and the have done a few 944's in the past.

Try these boys. http://www.custom-chrome.co.uk/ most of the smaller exhaust makers buy boxes and trims etc from here. They will also sell you bends and bits of pipe to make your own exhaust or even make you a full system.

Essential styling commissioned the Janspeed system originally but looks like Simon might have given up as his website no longer works - wonder if he still has his lightweight 944 or if it has blown away. They were almost half the price of the H&S pipes and mine was the original turbo system they developed and they found it produced more power with a front box than it did without. Mine is still in one piece after a good number of years and miles. Janspeed will probably still have the jigs somewhere.
