944 Turbo Panel Gaps

ORIGINAL: George Elliott

Good question Simon, do you mean the door shut barcode? is there a second number stamp on a 944t? - you thinking above the diff?
The 911 production line had numbers in various places - dash knee pad etc.

Theres a manually stamped body number on series two cars, which is located on the lip over which the rear seat squab is clipped.

From this Porsche GmbH can identify the original VIN.

As far as Im aware George, its similar to the body number that air cooled 911s had on the dashboard part of the body.

Have to agree Mike, it will always have a story, and that hits the value to 90% of buyers. It would be OK at £3250??

hmmmm, thats what I understood Simon, it is probably still intact. If so, that ID might overcome the Q plate back in England where there are a few more customers, but it would still be recorded on HPI. Or, maybe it would be registered age related and there would be a P reg 944 turbo. [8|]
