Sorry to bore , seen this on FleaBay today .

I think if I had the money I would buy it and leave it in my villa in Spain to pose on holidays ? I would have to buy the villa first too.

Wonder if anyone has sat on a new 944 Turbo not registered as yet ?

I once seen a Mercedes 190 EVO on offer for sale on FleaBay , I think it was 1990 model that had never been registered from new !

Mercedes did it's first PDI 2011 !! belonged to a collector and sold for over 100K

What would a brand new 944 S2 or Turbo sell for if it was brand new today I wonder ?

It's not worth it's reserve price - well, not here in the UK. Similar mileage (and more rare) rhd cars can be had for under £20k no problem at all.

Bare in mind that KMPH is less than MPH and no rot ! So it has covered just over 20000miles from new .

This 944 Turbo could be time warped ? UK cars suffer from rot unless you put them in an oxygen tent.

I just thought it was good to still see some fine examples of a true classic .

But, Guard's Red fades in sunny climes, and the interiors crack. 45K KM isn't low-mileage (30K in UK miles?) compared to many of the remaining turbo cabs, and you're comparing LHD with RHD.

The cost of respraying a faded car, and replacing the interior, isn't that much lower than adding in a bit of work to a UK car's rot.

This, again, could be a near-perfect car worth every penny. Just, let's not get carried away by the advert. Although, it does say "It preserve the factory protection film in rear wheels arches!!!". So at least you'll know you're safe for that £25. [&:]

Also, an oxygen tent would promote oxidisation, obviously. It would need to be in an inert gas tent...

... there is a safety consideration here too. Imagine starting a car in an oxygen tent... BOOM!

I believe you use acetylene mate !

Just had an idea ??? A car bag ? Drive your car into the bag , disconnect to battery for long term storage and zip it up , Once you have zipped it up , you can extract the air from within ? A dry car vacuum bag ?

PermaBag® is a large reinforced storage bag with an air-tight diver's zipper for climate controlled storage of cars, motorbikes, scooters, goods and valuables. PermaBag reduces the humidity within the bag, achieving ideal conservation and storage conditions for long-term all-round protection against rust, corrosion, dust and humidity. PermaBag also removes all traces of existing moisture that may be trapped inside cavities such as sills, inner-doors and exhaust systems
